Rituals

Etching

Senior Thesis Progress 03/09/2011

I know i haven't updated my blog in a while but i was waiting to make some significant progress in my production before posting again.
The nature of my process requires me to polish (allot) all of my scenes (cameras, stages and props) before it actually looks like something presentable.

I am 2 1/2 month away from our my final deadline and as you can see i still have a ton of work to get dome but the overall aesthetic is there.

I would really appreciate if you would take the time to take a look and leave you comments and critiques (which is always very well taken)!

Some Progress

Export of what i have so far. The compositing if still pretty rough, but it gives an idea of the look im going for.
Im still troubleshooting the transitions and the blending of the different methods of animation.

BG 1

BackGround 1 from Daniela Villegas on Vimeo.

This is my basic layout for my first background. This is by no means the final look but it has the essence of the color palette and the basic animation. I will be adding all the atmospheric elements such as trees, street lights, and cars progressively.

Style Sheet

Here is a preview of my overall visual style.
Im aiming for a completely analog look for my backgrounds which will be juxtaposed by the digital coloring of my character. As an unifying factor im planing on masking her hair and dropping an organic analog animated textures.
